BIOGRAPHY

YOUND – Music That Awakens

We are not a classic rock band. We are not lost teenagers playing in a garage, dreaming of fame and easy money. We are the exact opposite.

We had established lives, careers, responsibilities. We followed the paths laid out for us, obeyed the rules, did what was expected. But at what cost? By doing everything right, we had forgotten the essential—being ourselves.

YOUND was not born from youthful rebellion but from a brutal awakening. We are not here to entertain. We are here to transmit, to awaken, to shake things up.

The Void You Feel

You feel what we have felt. This world spins too fast—it screams, it demands, it imposes. They tell you what to think, what to do, who to be. And you move forward, doing what’s expected. You are who they want you to be. But deep down, you know—something is wrong.

We felt it too. We were ordinary people. We had structured, stable, respectable lives. Professors, researchers, students, workers. We played our roles, fulfilled our obligations. But each day, something inside us faded. A silent sadness, an invisible void.

The world was falling apart, and we were powerless. Inequality, injustice, indifference. They talked about the environment, women’s rights, animal suffering. We were angry, yet we did nothing. We were spectators of a world in ruins.

Then Mickael lost someone dear.

The Shock That Woke Us Up

We gathered for him, to try and bring him some peace. But that night, it was all of us who understood.

We were surviving, but we weren’t living. We had buried our dreams under obligations. We had sacrificed our hopes for an illusion of security. Mickael looked at a bookshelf and smiled.

"It’s been a long time since we thought we would become what we are."

We lowered our eyes. Yes, that time was long gone.

Then he said something absurd: "What if we started a band?"

We laughed. We said, "We’re too old." "We don’t know how." "We have lives to manage."

And he answered: "Then we’ll wear hats and show that we love."

It wasn’t serious. But a week later, no one had forgotten.

The First Steps Toward Freedom

So we began. Each of us learned on our own. We figured out the software, the networks, the tools. We composed, we experimented.

We released Minerval on May 17, 2024.

People listened. Feedback came in. We were criticized, we were advised—but no one told us to stop. So we kept going. We refined our songs. Everything was better. But something was still missing.

Then Mickael disappeared.

A Disappearance, A Revelation

No one knew where he was. No messages. No clues. There were whispers of a desert, of Andalusia, of strange encounters. Some say he found answers we had yet to understand.

When he returned, he was no longer the same.

He looked at us and said:
"We’ve always tried to be strong, to be skilled. That was a mistake. We need to be real. We are here to transmit emotions, not technique."

But that wasn’t all. He had come back with a wave of overwhelming inspiration—two complete albums. Raw, powerful, honest tracks. He hadn’t just found answers; he had figured out how to share them.

We understood then. We had been trying to do things right. We had forgotten to feel.

The world doesn’t need polished, perfectly produced, formatted music. The world needs music that awakens. So we stopped trying to make music.

We decided to create emotions.

"Il Vient" – A New Beginning

This track is not just a song. It’s a shiver. A woman. A hesitation. A moment suspended between what is expected of her and what she truly feels.

You know this feeling. That instant where everything could change. Where your body screams one thing, but society forces you down another path. Where you ask yourself: What should I have done?

It’s a mirror. A universal truth.

Il Vient is the first glimpse of We Gonna Try, our debut album. And the rest is even more powerful.

We no longer want our music to be consumed. We want it to live within you.

Join the Tribe, Choose to See

And you—where do you stand in all this?

Maybe you feel that silent revolt. Maybe you know something has to change. We’ve realized one thing: this world tells us to stay quiet. To follow, to obey, to not make waves.

We refuse.

We believe that art can awaken.
That music can open eyes.
That emotions are the only truth we own.

We speak about what matters. Injustice, social pressure, love, fear, freedom. What we all feel but so often keep silent.

We are not a band. We are a tribe.

You can just listen. But if you want more, then you already belong here.

We are not idols. We are like you.

We have doubted, searched, failed, understood. We have found a path.

And we invite you to walk it with us.

Do what you want.
Love who you are.
Come see what’s waiting for you.

This is just the beginning.
